THE DeKOVEN CENTER

Set along Lake Michigan’s bluffs in Racine, The DeKoven Center’s 11-acre campus is a unique and versatile setting that offers nationally-recognized architectural treasures, gorgeous gardens, serene wooded areas and other distinctive spaces, ideal for everything from reflection to celebration.
The historic buildings that make up the campus are among the few collegiate neo-Gothic buildings that survive in the Midwest.
WHAT TRAVEL INFORMATION WILL I NEED?
TRAIN: There is a Metra Kenosha, Wisconsin stop, that can be caught in Chicago, IL. Players can choose to Uber/Lyft from there. More information can be found here.
AIRPORT: There is a Milwaukee International Airport that is 30 minutes away from Racine, Wisconsin. More information can be found here.
Chicago's O'Hare airport is also about an hour drive from DeKoven. More information about O'Hare can be found here.
There is also a chatroom where you can connect with other Players. Many of our LARP Players are friendly, and if you need to connect with someone for a ride, you can usually find one along with a new friend.
Rooms are set up in Taylor Hall.
All rooms are heated. Each room hosts 1 - 3 beds per room with closets and/or dressers. Sheets are included, but you should bring your own bath towel.
If you would like to room alone, you will have to purchase a single occupancy upgrade by emailing email@example.com.
Can I room with a particular person?
Maybe. Both parties should indicate they want to stay with the other person, and must include their friends email by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Both parties must indicate the other person so we can be sure of consent.
Be mindful that your roommate will also have to be placed in the same House as you, as Houses are separated by wing/floor.
What are the Bathrooms like?
Each wing of DeKoven has its own bathroom/showers.
All major meals are provided for the length of your stay. Feel free to bring extra snacks for in between meals (no peanuts please).
Dining, besides the great feast on Saturday night, will take place at Taylor Hall- the same building where you will be sleeping.
Meals are buffet style with dining options to accommodate all dietary restrictions.
